Data-oriented design bootcamp

Are you a seasoned Unity creator looking for ways to maximize your game’s performance? Tune in to our Data-oriented design bootcamp for advanced game developers. Kicking off March 5, 2024, this hands-on training series will help you learn how to optimize your game using the Data-Oriented Technology Stack (DOTS).

This four-session bootcamp will require about three hours of your time over the course of the week. During each session, you’ll convert an existing gameObject-based project – Bucket Brigade – to include key DOTS components, with Unity professionals on standby to answer your questions. Learn the fundamentals of data-oriented programming and how to leverage the C# Job System, Burst Compiler, and Entity Component System (ECS) to in your own games.

Know before you go:

  • These sessions require Unity 2022 LTS, the latest version of the Editor.
  • The sample project, Bucket Brigade, is available to download via GitHub.
