Discover multiplatform game development with URP

Coming soon to the Unity Hub, 3D sample scenes for the Universal Render Pipeline (URP) provide a fun and engaging experience for you to learn about cross-platform game development.

The URP 3D sample scenes offer several environments for you to explore and learn how to optimally use URP across all platforms, including mobile, console, PC, and VR.

You will also discover how to use powerful features available with URP, such as Forward+ rendering, Decals, Lens Flares, Physically Based Rendering (PBR) materials, Shader Graph, Volumes, and Post-processing.

Whether you’re building the next blockbuster game, immersive virtual experiences, or want to push the limits for multiplatform scaling, the URP 3D sample scenes can help you discover new tools and take your game to the next level.

Watch out for more release news and information in the coming weeks.

We can’t wait to see what you create.

Terminal scene

Terminal

Your journey begins in the Terminal, a sci-fi building reminiscent of architecture visualizations featuring PBR materials and realistic lighting. The Terminal teleports you into three additional universes built to showcase the capabilities and customizability of URP with different art styles: a garden, a spaceship’s cockpit, and an oasis.

Garden scene

Garden

This stylized nocturnal garden, inspired by the Japanese-style Shoin-zukuri, features beautiful vegetation crafted with SpeedTree, interconnected interiors, a meandering stream, as well as numerous decorative lights that take advantage of URP’s Deferred or Forward+ rendering paths. This environment is a great showcase of URP’s scalability because it’s optimized to run optimally on iPhone 6 and beyond.

Cockpit scene

Cockpit

This rollercoaster ride puts you in the seat of a spaceship, where you will witness an epic battle between two factions. This heavily stylized environment uses a custom lighting model in Shader Graph, and it’s particularly well-suited to the high-performance requirements of VR headsets such as the Quest 2.

Oasis scene

Oasis

The oasis is a photorealistic environment currently in development. It showcases advanced shaders tailored for higher-end, compute-capable platforms. We will share more about this environment in the upcoming months.
