Meet your hosts for this journey, and get an understanding of what we’ll be covering across the series. We’ll dive into the mysteries of the metaverse: what it is, why it matters and how you can get involved. In this session you’ll also get an introduction to the Unity Editor, so you’ll be equipped to start your adventure.

Assets are the foundation for building experiences in Unity. In this session, we showcase how to import popular data formats, tools to capture real-world objects, and the fundamentals of building worlds in Unity.

Add interactivity to your immersive experience

Learn how to create behaviors, so users can manipulate objects in your immersive world. In this session, discover how to build logic and interactive systems in a simple way, using visual scripting.

How to bring your real-time 3D digital twin data into Unity

Global communication is being redefined for the metaverse. In this session, learn how to integrate data sources, including external sensors, Internet of Things (IoT) data and cloud-based digital twin APIs, to visualize right-time data.

Ben Radcliffe

Senior Technical Specialist, Unity

Ben works with Unity’s creator communities to advance the art and science of storytelling and digital transformation through the use of real-time 3D technology. He has over 20 years of experience creating location-based entertainment, animation, and visual effects for companies such as Disney, Lucasfilm, and Industrial Light & Magic, as well as transportation design and visualization for Gulfstream and Bombardier.

Jerome Maurey-Delaunay

Senior Technical Specialist, Unity

Jerome acts as an ambassador for Unity’s growth into new industries, specifically automotive, transportation and manufacturing. He has two decades of experience building interactive user experiences across web, extended reality (XR), installations, mobile and embedded devices for brands such as Tata, Airbus, and Panasonic Avionics, as well as architectural visualization apps for Herzog & de Meuron and Zaha Hadid Architects.

Drew Domokos

Host and Unity Technical Specialist, Unity

Drew is a Unity ambassador showcasing the latest in virtual reality and augmented reality innovations from Unity. Coming from Finger Food ATG (now Unity Accelerate Solutions), where he presented to prospective customers across multiple industries and spoke at a variety of key industry events, Drew is a key player in telling the Unity story.

John Futscher

Senior Technical Specialist, Unity

John is a Senior Advocate for Unity's Industrial use cases. As a professional software developer, John has leveraged Unity to create systems that impacted real-world scenarios including aircraft maintenance, architectural design, television broadcasts, and XR tools and training. He has also used Unity to ship games on all modern platforms as well as doing community outreach with local organizations to teach students and bring more creators into technology and the arts.

Unity Gaming Services (UGS) helps developers create, operate, scale, and monetize their live game using a single modular platform. While UGS was built for game developers, it is also widely used by industrial clients to create custom metaverse and digital twin solutions.
