In October 2017, Lionsgate and Unity partnered to deliver the world’s first VR advertisement. To connect with fans on a more captivating level, Lionsgate brought its Saw franchise to life in virtual reality for one of the most immersive brand experiences in its history.
The ad appears in a natural part of the virtual reality experience storyline. Never forced, the player has the ability to choose to enter into the room, in which they then become fully immersed in the brands experience for 30-60 seconds. Upon completion, they receive reward for viewing, creating a memorable experience.
